WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY?
Physiotherapy is a therapeutic approach that utilizes a combination of targeted exercises, manual techniques, education and other modalities such as needling and taping to help individuals regain movement, alleviate pain, and enhance overall physical function. A physiotherapist assesses a patient's condition and creates a personalized treatment plan. They focus on improving mobility, strength, and flexibility, often addressing issues related to injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions like arthritis.
Physiotherapists also educate patients on how to prevent future injuries and manage long-term health conditions. The therapy often includes exercises that can be performed at home to maintain progress. By addressing underlying musculoskeletal issues, physiotherapy promotes recovery and enhances quality of life.
